Pilates for Circus Bodies!

Come join us for this rare opportunity to get to learn from two great teachers: Erin Lauer Johnson and Carmen Kingsley. Erin has been teaching Pilates for 10 years and has been taking circus for 2 years (Handstands, Trapeze, Straps, and Lyra). Carmen has been training in circus arts for over 10 years and has recently started teaching Pilates. Both of these teachers have vast experience dealing with their own injuries and helping others rehabilitate and strengthen their bodies to avoid future injuries.

With the growing popularity of circus as a recreational physical activity, there are rising rates of injuries. The Pilates Method is uniquely suited to address the needs of the circus performer. Pilates new out of a physical fitness regimen as well as rehabilitation. Pilates incorporates flexibility training, core strengthening, and stability training. We will teach you essential skills to carry with you into all of your workouts, training, and performances.
